A traditional peppery spiced scotch pie mix
Ingredients for example batch
- Lean Mince - 850g
- Pie Seasoning - 50g
- Rusk - 200g
- Water - 900ml
Method
- Add pie seasoning and rusk to mince and mix.
- Add water and mix thoroughly
- Allow to stand for 20 minutes.
- Fill into pie shells.
- Preheat oven to 220°c
- Place pies on baking tray and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
For best results
Leave pie mix in the fridge overnight to allow the spices to marinade with meat.
