Rusk is a yeastless bread that is baked hard and milled for use as a food ingredient. Rusk is an essential ingredient in sausage and burger making as the it will stop the sausage from drying out. It will also make your sausage lighter in texture giving you a more succulent sausage or burger. If you do not include Rusk in your sausage they will have a very tough and heavy texture.
Bind Tongmaster premium pinhead Rusk with water and seasoning to make the ideal sausage or burger mix. This Rusk has a high water absorption rate and minimum shrinkage during cooking. Normally you would add 1.5 litres of water per 1kg of Rusk. With the Tongmaster Premium Pinhead Rusk the mixture can be as high as 2 litres of water per 1kg of rusk giving you a higher product yield.
