This pack of 24 heat sealing, transparent jam jar covers, waxed discs, rubber securing bands and blank labels is ideal for sealing preserving jars to maximum capacity of 910g (2lb).
From growing your own, picking your own to making your own, the Home made Collection offers the very best in cooking what nature has provided.
Care & Use
- Ensure jar surface is dry and grease free.
- Filled warmed jars to the brim with hot jam.
- Immediately insert waxed circles with waxed surface in close contact with the jam while it is still hot.
- Covers should be put on when jam is either hot or cold, but never when it is tepid as this can cause mould growth.
- Wipe rim. Moisten one side of the transparent cover. Place in position on the jar, damp side up.
- Secure with a rubber band. As the cover dries, it will contract to give a tight seal.
