A natural thickening agent, often used in sauces and gluten free cooking.
- This product can be used to thicken soups, stews and sauces, in the same way you would use cornflour.
- Simply mix equal parts arrowroot and water and mix into a slurry, then add to your dish to thicken, avoid adding directly to a dish.
- Ideal for use in baking to thicken and produce clear glazes, cornflour and alternative usually result in a cloudy finish.
- Arrowroot thickens at a much lower temperature than cornstarch and has virtually no flavour.
