A tasty, authentic, easy to use seasoning ideal for creating the perfect chilli con carne.
- Ideally used with beef mince, but, can be used with pork, chicken, or shredded beef.
- Packed with flavours of chilli, cumin & coriander.
Chilli Con Carne Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 500g minced beef
- 50g tongmaster chilli con carne seasoning
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 x 400ml can chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 1 x 400g can kidney beans
- 10g dark chocolate
- Chilli flakes (optional)
- Heat oil in a pan, add the diced onion and cook for approx 5 minutes until soft, add the mince and cook until browned.
- Once browned, add the seasoning and cook for a further 2 minutes, add the puree and mix until combined.
- Add the chopped tomatoes, and a splash of water along with the stock cube, crumbled, bring to the boil and simmer for around 20 minutes.
- Drain and rinse the kidney beans before adding them to the mixture, add more water if necessary, simmer uncovered for a further 10 minutes.
- Taste, season & add the chocolate to your chilli, allowing it to melt through (add more chilli flakes here if needed) & serve!
