Chana Masala - Curry Seasoning

A chana masala is a warm Indian curry dish traditionally made using chickpeas - this seasoning creates the perfect chana masala taste.
This seasoning can be used in any curry & is also great for use in meat rubs & sauces.
Chana Masala Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 x 400g can chickpeas - drained
- 1 large onion
- 2 x 400ml can chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 2 tbsp chana masala seasoning
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- Fresh green chillies - optional
- Heat oil in a pan, add the onions, garlic & chillies, cook until soft.
- Add the chana masala seasoning and cook for a further 2 mins or until fragrant, add the tomato puree and mix well.
- Add the chickpeas, chopped tomatoes and a pinch of salt and simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes.
- Season to taste with salt, pepper & chillies before serving, top with fresh coriander.
